I just started a new blog about eating out in New York State, based upon my wanderings around the state digging science holes. If there's something an archaeologist knows, it's where to eat and how to get there.

Just placed my first order on instocktrades.com. Really nice site for those folks out there that read all their funny pages in collected trade paperback format. The prices are a bit better than Amazon, though the free shipping threshold is at $50. The site is easy to use and their selection is up to date and varied. I know I sound like a shill, but I just wanted some folks to know about them. Of course, if you have a nice local shop with a helpful and friendly staff, give them your business. But if not, like most of us, well, go to instock. [...now, where's my cash, instock?]

This was finished a few months ago for the New York State Archaeology Season campaign sponsored by the New York Archaeological Council (NYAC) and the Public Archaeology Facility (PAF). Nina Versaggi, Laurie Miroff, and I came up with the concept this spring and the design was approved by the commitee and printed here in Binghamton. Copies of the poster are free on request to anyone in the science, museum or education fields simply by contacting NYAC or PAF.
